Who we are

Honeycomb Recruit is operated by Honeycomb Care Homes Ltd (the data controller) to manage recruitment into our children's residential care services.

What we collect and why

We collect the information you provide in your application — identity and contact details, employment and education history, referee details, declarations, and supporting documents — to assess your application and to meet our safer-recruitment duties under the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements.

Equality monitoring

Equality questions are optional. Your answers are never visible to the managers assessing your application and are used only in anonymised, aggregated reports.

Referees

We contact the referees you provide. Referees receive a secure link and a privacy notice of their own; references are treated confidentially.

How long we keep your information

Unsuccessful application records are retained for a limited period in line with our retention policy, then deleted. Records of appointed staff transfer to the staff file. DBS certificate images are deleted within six months of the recruitment decision unless a lawful justification requires otherwise.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal information, and you may complain to the ICO. Contact us at recruitment@honeycombcarehomes.co.uk to exercise any right.
